Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Vermont requiring a VT or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general Med/Surg unit within a critical access hospital
• Primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric cases (not a pediatric floor)
• Unit provides care for medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, and outpatient patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Participate in the coordination and delivery of holistic patient care for adults and occasional pediatric patients
• Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor to support a team-oriented environment
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days prior to the start date for onboarding

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Flu vaccination required with no exceptions
