Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position that requires a MN RN license and strong Cath Lab clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Cath Lab with 4 procedure labs
• Handling an average daily census of 10-20 cases and approximately 12 patient visits per day
• Assignment is 13 weeks with 10-hour day shifts from 7:30am to 6:00pm, totaling 40 hours per week
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• On-call duties required with a 30-minute response time
• Floating required between Mercy Coon Rapids and Mercy Unity campuses as needed
• Environment is a teaching hospital and Level II trauma center
• Epic (Excellian) EMR is used and experience is required
• Scrubs are provided
• Perform and assist with a range of cardiac procedures and manage conscious sedation
• Care for cardiac patient population in an acute care, procedural setting
• Required to float within assigned hospital and to affiliate campuses as needed
• Mandatory pre-start modules will be assigned and must be completed before the assignment begins
• Previous employees must have a minimum 3-month gap before returning as travelers
• Time off requests are ideally limited to no more than 5 days during contract
• No local candidates accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active MN RN license or eligibility for license by start date
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience required
• Experience with conscious sedation and telemetry required
• Supervisory reference must be provided for consideration
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
