Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring BLS, PALS, and either a NC or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
- Primary patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular and critical care cases
- Floating to other pediatric critical care units may be required
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), working every other weekend
- Bi-weekly orientation is provided
- Core responsibilities include providing specialized pediatric cardiovascular and critical care nursing
- One bi-weekly orientation session is available for onboarding
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Locals within a 75-mile radius are accepted
- Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions permitted during flu season
- Required modules are completed during orientation and as assigned annually
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in PCICU, PICU float, NICU, or Peds Stepdown with PICU floating required
- At least 2 years of experience is highly preferred
- One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
