Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring BLS, PALS, and either a NC or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) within a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes pediatric cardiovascular and critical care cases
• Floating to other pediatric critical care units may be required
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), working every other weekend
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• Core responsibilities include providing specialized pediatric cardiovascular and critical care nursing
• One bi-weekly orientation session is available for onboarding
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals within a 75-mile radius are accepted
• Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions permitted during flu season
• Required modules are completed during orientation and as assigned annually

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in PCICU, PICU float, NICU, or Peds Stepdown with PICU floating required
• At least 2 years of experience is highly preferred
• One supervisory reference from within the last year is required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
