Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with strong LDRP skills and Epic EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Birth Center with 20 beds total, including 12 Labor & Delivery, 8 postpartum/antepartum, and a 6-bed Level II NICU
- Care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients as well as newborns
- Responsibilities include circulating for C-sections and baby catching/receiving
- 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation
- No call required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Teal scrubs are provided
- Candidates must be comfortable working with a diverse Russian and Spanish-speaking patient population; multilingual skills are preferred
- APGAR scoring and assessment are essential responsibilities
- No on-call shifts; nurse practitioner on call
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license
- BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of total Labor & Delivery experience with at least 1 year in LDRP
- Ability to perform cervical exams, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and administer Pitocin
- Demonstrated post-partum care experience from transition through discharge
- Required to circulate C-sections and receive newborns
- Scrub experience preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
- Strong breastfeeding knowledge required
