Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a GA or compact license and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Expected to work major holidays as assigned based on length of assignment
• Maximum of 7 days of time off allowed, with no requested time off during the first week
• Orientation hours are determined by contract length
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Travel pairs are not permitted to be scheduled on the same unit and shift
• No blocked scheduling is offered
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Return travelers must successfully complete an assignment outside of Piedmont if deemed unable to return to one facility

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Must be fully compliant prior to start to ensure timely onboarding
• Perm/PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before returning as a traveler
