Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience for both inpatient and outpatient echo procedures.

Responsibilities

• Position covers both inpatient and outpatient echo studies, with all inpatient echos performed as portable exams
• Work a rotating day shift schedule of 8-hour shifts between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM
• Weekend shifts average one every six weeks, with a compensatory day off granted during the week
• On-call duty is required approximately one week every five weeks
• Floating within the facility and within scope of practice may be necessary
• Both local and travel candidates are considered at the same rate
• Perform both inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, with all inpatient studies conducted at the bedside
• Candidates must be able to float within the facility and adapt to varying units as needed
• Assignment requires working major holidays according to holiday rotation policy
• Return travelers must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year prior to applying
• If unable to return to one Piedmont facility, candidates must complete a successful assignment elsewhere before reapplying
• Travel pairs are not permitted to work the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling is allowed
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed, with no time off during the first week of assignment
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; noncompliance may delay the start date by 2 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of echo technologist or cardiac sonographer experience required
• Current certification as an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Two supervisory references from a manager or above are required for consideration
• License required if applicable
