Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a compact or LA RN license, with on-call and conscious sedation responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
- Standard procedure hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility required for earlier or later procedures
- Call is divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend, including holidays
- Weekend call shifts require on-call coverage from Friday close of business until Monday morning, with a 30-minute response time
- Possible floating between the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab departments based on need
- Must be able to participate in emergency response teams as assigned by unit management during emergency events
- Roles may include supporting Cardiac Cath Lab in addition to Interventional Radiology as required
- Holiday and after-hours call coverage is expected and divided among staff
Requirements
- Active LA or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; both must be from AHA
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Interventional Radiology
- Must be competent in performing conscious sedation and monitoring and recording IR procedures
- Candidates must live at least 65 miles away; facility does not accept local travelers
- Unit will not accept first time travelers
