Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with both circulating and scrubbing experience, as well as robotic and ENT background, for an evening shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes all surgical specialties except open heart procedures
• Specialties include ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, neuro, ENT, and robotic surgeries
• Level II Trauma Center environment
• Evening shifts available: 2x 3p-11p plus 2x 12p-12a or 2x 3p-11p plus 2x 1p-1a as discussed in interview
• Call required two times per schedule
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Scrubs are provided
• Primary duties include circulating and scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Team-oriented environment with broad specialty exposure
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Scrub attire provided on site
• Background and license checks must show no active or open issues

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of two years recent acute care Operating Room experience
• Ability to both circulate and scrub in the Operating Room
• Experience with ortho, vascular, general, thoracic, neuro, ENT, and robotic cases required
• Prior exposure to trauma settings preferred
• Submission of circulating and scrubbing work history and skills checklist required
• Returning staff must be gone at least one year from the health system before eligible for travel assignments
