Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a current NY license and broad surgical experience for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Covers all surgical specialties including bariatrics, vascular, ENT, endoscopy, general surgery, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, robotics, and urology
• Night shift schedule (4x10 hours, 21:00-07:30)
• No call or weekend shifts required
• Experience with both general and ambulatory OR settings required
• Epic charting experience is preferred
• RNs are expected to work in all specialty areas and with all patient diagnoses
• Block scheduling is not offered
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed during the assignment
• Travelers cannot have been employed by any Guthrie facility within one year prior to the assignment start date
• Scrubs are provided for this role
• Strict adherence to OR protocols including infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and specimen handling is expected

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 3 years prior OR RN experience
• Demonstrated experience in a wide range of surgical procedures and specialties
• BLS certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of OR RN experience
