Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position with BLS certification and TN or compact license required.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 36-bed Med/Surg floor serving post-surgical patients including GI, vascular, thoracic, women's health, bariatric, urology, and peritoneal dialysis cases
• Patient population includes young adults through late adults (ages 18-60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
• Shifts are 12 hours, 18:45 to 07:15
• Team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
• RN is responsible for full patient care on assigned team
• Applicants must provide a US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate per the facility's radius rule, which varies by state
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
• Dress code and scrubs requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license, verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experience
• Successful completion of a rhythm test required
• NIH Certification is preferred
