Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with home health experience to provide care across multiple communities in Massachusetts and requires active MA OT licensure.

Responsibilities

Home health position serving various communities in the North Region of Massachusetts including Essex, Gloucester, Manchester, Rockport, Ipswich, Amesbury, Haverhill, Newburyport, and surrounding areas
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Float role requiring travel within the home health service area
Patient ages range from birth through geriatric populations
Use of EPIC charting system
Deliver occupational therapy services in patients’ residences addressing physical and cognitive impairments
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate care plans
Manage clinical, environmental, and financial resources for home health therapy
First-time travelers will be considered
Local candidates must have permanent residence at least 60 miles from Boston; those within this radius receive a lower rate
Parking costs may apply at certain locations
Timekeeping is managed via the UKG/Kronos system

Requirements

Active Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts required (license required if applicable)
At least 1 year of certified home care Occupational Therapist experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or homecare settings
Ability to register with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts
AHA certifications required
Proficiency with computer software and handheld patient care devices preferred
Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
Ability to travel locally within the assigned geographic area
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
