Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-hour night shift Med/Surg position in Michigan requiring current MI licensure and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Primary responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, IV drip monitoring, telemetry oversight, and participation in daily team rounding
• Patient population includes Med/Surg with telemetry monitoring
• Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4
• Uses Centriq EHR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
• 12-hour night shifts with a six-week scheduling pattern including some weekends
• Staffing may be adjusted based on census and occasionally involves working alone
• Daily duties include admitting and discharging patients, interdisciplinary rounding, and assisting with patient transfers
• Team environment with potential for periods of independent practice
• Scrubs required with no specific color
• No floating to other units is required

Requirements

• Current, active MI RN license required
• Minimum two years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Experience with Centriq EHR and Pyxis preferred
