Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring an active NC or Compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes emergency and acute care cases
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Coordinate and deliver competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and care evaluations
• Engage in ongoing professional development and attend education programs as needed
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• Support patient education and assess readiness to learn for patients and families

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited institution required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required
