Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Iowa requiring an active IA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes adult medical and surgical cases with telemetry monitoring requirements
Uses Epic electronic medical record system
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
A supervisory reference from within the past two years is required
Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility unless located in Madison, where local candidates are accepted with a reduced rate
Epic EMR experience preferred
Travelers are required to work two out of three major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving)
Only one day off can be requested between November 26-30 and December 23-January 2

Requirements

Active Iowa or compact RN license required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Mandatory reporter training required
Minimum of one year recent nursing experience required
Must provide a driver's license for consideration
