Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in Alaska with LTC experience and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long term care facility with 21 staffed beds
• Assignment is 13 weeks with 3x12 hour variable shifts (days or nights based on facility need)
• Patient ratio is approximately 1:20
• EMR system used is Epic; experience required
• No on-call required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and potentially across local facilities
• Facility-provided housing (single-occupancy, no pets) and shared-use vehicle included
• Free parking available
• Will be responsible for LTC nursing duties with a high patient ratio
• Must be willing to work assigned holidays with minimal to no requested time off
• All travelers are expected to float within scope as needed for staffing
• No first-time travelers accepted for this position
• Housing and vehicle must be vacated and cleaned promptly after assignment
• Scrub color is flexible (any)

Requirements

• Active AK RN license required or proof of pending application
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of LTC RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
• Returning employees must have a minimum 3-month gap and meet radius rule
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required for use of provided vehicle
