Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of Level I trauma and acute care experience for evening shifts in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based MRI department covering adult ICU, pediatrics, and adult acute care settings
• Level I trauma center experience required
• Handles diverse caseloads including adult and pediatric patients in critical care settings
• Utilizes Siemens and McKesson MRI equipment and Cerner EMR (Cerner experience preferred)
• Rotating evening shifts (5x8 hours) from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Call, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as part of scheduling
• Position may require working during inclement weather
• Position requires the ability to take call, work assigned weekends, and cover at least 50% of holidays during the contract
• The facility operates 24/7 with a busy trauma and critical care environment
• First time travelers will be considered if they have at least 2 years of Level I trauma experience
• Locals within a 75-mile radius are allowed at a reduced rate
• RTO (requested time off) must be included at time of consideration
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be specified onsite

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent MRI technologist experience, with 1 year in MRI specialty
• Prior Level I trauma center experience required
• Experience with Siemens and McKesson MRI equipment required
• Adult ICU, pediatrics, and adult acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required
• Active MO or Compact state MRI license required if applicable
• Physical ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects over 20 lbs
• Comfort working with contagious illnesses in a healthcare setting
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
