Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a day shift position requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital emergency department setting
• Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, 12-hour shifts with rotating days including some weekends
• 13-week assignment
• Responsible for triaging and assessing patients based on physical, psychological, and social needs
• Provide direct care including medication administration, wound and line management, and procedural assistance
• Document care accurately according to hospital standards and policies
• Communicate assessment findings and changes in patient condition promptly to providers
• Maintain knowledge and safe handling of all medical equipment used in emergency patient care
• Interact respectfully and empathetically with patients, families, providers, and staff
• Follow policies for safe disposal and handling of biohazardous materials

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (or BCLS), PALS, and TNCC
