Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an X-ray Technologist with ARRT-R certification and proficiency in radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a diagnostic radiology unit
• 12-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday
• Patient population and specific caseload information not specified
• Responsibilities include both stationary and mobile imaging procedures
• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic x-ray and fluoroscopic procedures
• Role may require both mobile and stationary imaging techniques
• All candidates must adhere to applicable State and Federal radiology regulations
• There are no restrictions for local candidates as local and travel rates are the same

Requirements

• Active ARRT-R certification required
• CT ARRT certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required
• Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program required
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment required
• Venipuncture certificate and proficiency in starting IVs for contrast injections required
• At least one year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills required
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations required
• License required if applicable
