Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a current FL or compact license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend or six weekend shifts per six weeks, determined by unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers may be required to float to other units or locations within the system
• Uses EPIC EMR for documentation
• Staff timekeeping completed via Kronos system with badge swiping
• Candidates who have previously worked in an internal contracted position must wait one year before being considered again
• Free parking provided with decal obtained at orientation
• Scrubs of any solid color are permitted, but tops and bottoms must match in color and have no logos or prints
• All requests for scheduled time off must be declared at the time of application submission
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active Florida or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC experience required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Two professional references from an authority figure (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the past year required
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31 and 3/31, with medical or religious exemptions considered
