Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a UT or compact RN license, BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Cares for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients with approximately 120-130 births per year
• Unit includes 3 L&D beds and postpartum care is provided in patient rooms with 2 overflow rooms
• Night shifts from 6pm to 6am, 12 hours in length
• Float to MedSurg may be required
• Uses Athena EMR and PeriCalm fetal monitoring system
• Shared CNA support between Med/Surg and L&D
• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Collaborate with family practice providers, as there are no in-house OB/Neonatologist or 24/7 RT
• On-call pharmacy services are available
• Scrubs may be any solid color

Requirements

• Active UT or compact state RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Experience with Athena EMR and PeriCalm system preferred
