Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Labor & Delivery position requiring a VA or compact RN license along with advanced fetal monitoring and NRP certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital
- Night shift position from 7:00PM to 7:00AM
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length
- Care for patients in all stages of labor and delivery as well as immediate neonatal care
- Provide comprehensive care to women in labor, manage delivery, and care for newborns immediately following birth
- Documentation and references must comply with state and employer guidelines
- No local candidates permitted according to the 50 mile radius rule
- Vaccination and credential requirements per current hospital policy
- First time travelers are eligible for consideration
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Fetal Monitoring certification (intermediate or advanced AWHONN, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring) required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced 9th Edition required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius from the facility
