Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit position in New York requiring an active NY RN license, Epic experience, and relevant specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Critical Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Applicants may not reside within the following NY counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington
• Epic EMR experience is required for all clinicians
• Competency testing is required with up to two attempts to pass for ICU nurses
• Requests for time off must be included with initial application
• More than three call outs during a 13-week contract will result in contract termination, with makeup shifts required within six weeks
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Candidates may only apply to one position with this client at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required
• Certifications from AHA or RQI required, including BLS and ACLS as specified by unit
• Epic EMR experience is required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for eligibility
• Medical flu exemptions must be signed by a licensed professional
