Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Critical Care Unit position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Patient care on a progressive/telemetry critical care unit
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Competency testing required for all ICU assignments, with two attempts allowed to pass
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within six weeks
• RTO (time off) requests must be submitted upon application
• Local candidates are not eligible if residing within a 50-mile radius of specified counties
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Progressive Critical Care or similar specialty required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI are required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must have a valid US Social Security Number
• Flu vaccination required, with only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted
