Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Critical Care Unit position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Patient care on a progressive/telemetry critical care unit
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- Competency testing required for all ICU assignments, with two attempts allowed to pass
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within six weeks
- RTO (time off) requests must be submitted upon application
- Local candidates are not eligible if residing within a 50-mile radius of specified counties
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Progressive Critical Care or similar specialty required
- Current certifications from AHA or RQI are required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Must have a valid US Social Security Number
- Flu vaccination required, with only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted
