Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position requiring a NY RN license, recent ICU experience, and EPIC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) of a hospital
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00
• Care for surgical and neurological ICU patients
• Uses EPIC EMR system and EPIC experience is required
• No blocked scheduling available
• Competency testing must be completed with a maximum of two attempts allowed
• Travelers may not be residents of specified counties within a 50-mile radius, including Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Make-up shifts required for more than three call outs in a 13-week period
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application
• Medical attire requirements align with hospital ICU standards
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Travelers may only submit to one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in ICU or relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and other certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Documented experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required unless medical exemption is signed by a licensed professional
• US Social Security Number required for consideration, Canadian SIN not accepted
