Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift weekend package requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and an active IA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting with primary responsibility in the Emergency Department and support for Med-Surg and other departments as needed
• Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00pm to 6:30am, working 5 out of every 6 weekends
• 13-week assignment
• Plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care for patients, including direct care and medication administration
• Provide support to the Emergency Department and assist other departments when needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Adhere to infection control policies and hospital guidelines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required
• Night and weekend schedule includes holiday coverage as scheduled
• Must wear appropriate apparel and display nametag

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification required
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
