Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT and BLS certification to perform advanced vascular procedures and support radiologic operations.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the operating room of a hospital surgical department
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, either 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Requires availability for after-hours on-call support
• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Procedures include stent grafting, power injector use, and guidewire manipulation
• Requires working independently and as part of a team
• Duties include preparing and educating patients, reviewing clinical data and imaging, set-up of sterile and imaging equipment, and performing radiation protection techniques
• Active participation in patient assessment before, during, and after procedures
• Expected to assist with training of new staff or students as assigned
• Must complete required online modules onsite and achieve a passing score prior to start
• Quality assurance procedures and accurate EMR documentation are required
• Dress code and scrub requirements will follow department policy
• No blocked scheduling offered
• Submit all time off requests prior to assignment; post-offer requests require management approval

Requirements

• Active MI Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in interventional radiology or related invasive procedures
• Current ARRT with advanced registry in CI, VI, or CV
• BLS certification from AHA required
• High school diploma or GED required; ongoing CME maintenance necessary
• Experience operating power injectors and managing sterile equipment is essential
• Must be a self-starter and able to work solo when needed
• COVID vaccine is mandatory for employment
