Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with TX or compact state licensure and strong knowledge of multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Work in a main Operating Room within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
• Alternates: Monday-Wednesday one week, Wednesday-Friday the next week
• Handles cases in robotic XI, orthopedics, spine/neuro, general surgery, gynecology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and Trauma Level 2
• No call required
• Cerner charting system is used and experience is preferred
• Orientation period is 3-4 days
• Role involves scrubbing and circulating on a variety of surgical cases including trauma
• Work as part of a highly skilled surgical team in a fast-paced environment
• First time travelers will be considered
• Holiday coverage is not specified and should be confirmed during the interview
• Must be able to meet all compliance deadlines for documentation

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2-3 years recent Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Experience with robotic XI procedures and multiple surgical specialties required
• Must submit two recent supervisor references from the last three years
• Locals within 50 miles are not accepted
