Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology evening position requiring a current IL license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and hospital float flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Evening shifts, 5x8 hours (3:30pm-12:00am), with every other weekend required and occasional daytime weekend shifts
• On-call rotation includes weekdays (12:00am-8:00am) and 24-hour on-call during weekends and holidays, rotated among all nurses
• Mandatory floating within Radiology and Pain Management departments, and to other units as needed, within a 50-mile radius
• Charting using Cerner EMR system
• Staff are required to wear lead during procedures
• Care for interventional radiology and pain management patients in a high-acuity, trauma-level environment
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests allowed
• Floating outside primary competency area may occur; team-based model is used in these cases
• Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided
• Maximum 5 days of RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no weekend or holiday RTO allowed
• Returning staff must undergo full recredentialing and orientation
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted
• Strict compliance timelines and responsiveness required during onboarding

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required; booster not required
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of assignment acceptance
