Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy Labor and Delivery unit night shift position, requiring an active IL RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit with Level III NICU capabilities
• Unit covers labor and delivery, antepartum, and OB-ED areas
• Occasional floating to the mother/baby unit may be required
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Requires work every other weekend
• Participation in holiday rotation is expected
• Deliver patient care in a busy L&D environment including antepartum and OB-ED coverage
• Opportunity to care for high acuity obstetric cases supported by a Level III NICU
• Must be able to provide two professional references and a copy of a valid driver’s license for consideration
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates may apply but will receive a reduced rate according to the location’s radius rule
• Covid-19 vaccination is not required
• Scrubs or dress code details will be provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (AHA/AAP)
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
