Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with home health experience and an active Michigan license for a day shift assignment in multiple Michigan counties.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering Van Buren, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo Counties
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with a rotation day off during the week
• No on-call or floating required
• Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatment to improve patient function and independence
• Duties may include patient and family education, interdisciplinary team discussions, and participation in departmental process improvement
• Documentation required in the electronic health record per compliance timelines
• Flu vaccination proof required, or exemption request must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation includes 8 hours of required, non-billable modules to be completed annually
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Return staff may be eligible after a 6 month waiting period

Requirements

• Active Michigan PT license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum one year of recent home health experience required
• Valid Michigan driver's license, daily access to a car, and proof of insurance required
• References required for consideration
