Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in Hand Therapy for an outpatient setting requiring SD licensure, BLS, and splinting skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient orthopedic therapy setting
- 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Patient population includes neuro, hand, and lymphedema cases
- Hand therapy focus with splinting, blood flow restriction, and pool equipment
- EMR system is Epic and experience is required
- No floating required
- No weekend or on-call coverage expected
- Supportive rehab supervisors provide department oversight
- 5-7 day orientation provided for facility and unit
- No holiday coverage required
- Scrub color is pewter, dark grey, or granite
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on prior experience and setting
- No local travelers within a 100 mile radius will be accepted
- Facility is known for being traveler-friendly and supportive
Requirements
- Current SD Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and certification by the SD Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, but may be waived based on experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
- Splinting skills required
- Epic charting experience required
