Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a teaching hospital in New Jersey, requiring 2+ years' experience and active NJ license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cardiac interventional radiology unit at a teaching hospital
- Shift is 4x10 hour days, 8:00am to 6:30pm
- Daily caseload of 5-10 cases
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as applicable
- On-call up to 3 nights per week from 5:00pm to 7:00am
- Required to float within skillset as needed
- Patient population includes cases for interventional body, neuro, vascular, abdominal, pelvic, and genitourinary interventions
- Uses GE and Phillips Angio Suites
- Charting is performed using Epic Radiant and Q-site
- Scrub and circulate for a variety of interventional procedures, including endovascular and neuro interventions, as well as abdominal, pelvic, and genitourinary procedures
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Return staff must have been separated from the health system for at least one year to be eligible
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Clinicians are required to float within scope based on census and staffing
- Holiday shift coverage is expected for at least two out of three holidays during the contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Interventional Radiology
- Active NJ state or compact license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Experience with trauma Level I or II preferred
- Experience in sterile procedure and equipment setup, closure devices, EKOS, and interventional body and neuro procedures required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Familiarity with Epic Radiant charting system preferred
