Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of specialty experience and active ARRT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an inpatient Interventional Radiology department within a Level III Trauma, Magnet teaching hospital
  • Daily caseload averages 9 cases per technologist
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts starting between 7:00 and 8:30 AM
  • On-call assignments range from 0 to 5 shifts per month and are elective if more are desired
  • Patient cases include procedures involving stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, drainages, vascular, neurological, and genitourinary studies
  • Requires experience with X-ray procedures for extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and both upper and lower extremities
  • No floating required outside of the assigned department
  • Epic/Excellian EMR system is used; prior experience preferred
  • Scrubs are provided by the unit
  • Locals are accepted for this position without radius restrictions
  • Must not have more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Return staff must have a 3-month gap since last worked shift as permanent or per diem
  • Mandatory pre-start online modules must be completed prior to assignment
  • Onsite parking available at a flat rate per hour

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, ER, or related inpatient setting
  • Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with a range of IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, and peripheral vascular interventions
  • Competence with general X-ray procedures as noted in job details
  • Ability to provide at least one supervisor reference for job consideration
  • License required if applicable; pending state license is accepted
