Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least 18 months of experience for a Cath Lab position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications, with on-call evening and weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

Work in the Cath Lab of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
Patient population includes those requiring cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
Uses EPIC for charting
Day shift position, working 4x10-hour shifts from 06:30 to 17:00
On-call requirements include evenings and weekends
Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
All required time off must be requested at the time of application
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Smoke-free workplace with strict nicotine screening requirements
Ceil blue scrubs required
Free parking provided
Annual and pre-start online modules must be completed prior to orientation; additional module completion required annually for extended assignments
Permanent and per diem staff must wait 1 year before returning to work at the facility
Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location shall not exceed 18 consecutive months, and rehire requires a minimum 6-month break
No schedule accommodations for block scheduling

Requirements

Active FL or compact RN license required
Minimum of 18 months RN experience required; 2 years preferred
Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
Pending license accepted
Nicotine-free status required with a negative nicotine (cotinine) screen
Must pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation with only two attempts allowed
First-time travelers accepted
Facility does not accept candidates with any license infractions
