Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Medical/Surgical position on a dedicated education unit with a 30-bed capacity and high patient ratios.

Responsibilities

• Position is on a 30-bed Medical/Surgical dedicated education unit in a hospital setting
• Typical patient ratio is 5-6 patients per nurse
• Care delivered to a mixed Med/Surg population
• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, three shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travel nurses will provide direct patient care and will not have educational responsibilities
• No RTO (requested time off) allowed during the assignment
• References from supervisors or managers in similar units from within the last 2 years are required
• Candidates must provide a resume detailing recent experience and EMR proficiency
• A skills checklist relevant to the specialty and copies of all certifications are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a Level 1 trauma or mid-to-large hospital
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Positive attitude and timely work habits
