Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN with a current OH or compact license for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shifts with 3 x 12-hour shifts weekly from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be successfully completed during orientation
• Must work at least every other holiday as scheduled
• Annual and onboarding training modules are required
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed prior to the start date
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to the facility for at least 1 year after their last contract end date
• Assignments cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• One supervisory reference in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• No open legal cases and no license disciplinary actions accepted
• Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing contract
• Negative 10-panel and nicotine drug screen required within 12 months of start
