Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with outpatient lymphedema experience for a day shift position requiring current IL licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care Level II Trauma center
• Position is in the outpatient OT department
• Day shifts available as 4x10 or 5x8 hour schedules, typically from 8:00 to 16:30
• Rotating weekend coverage every 6 weeks
• May float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities as needed
• Cerner EMR is used and experience with Cerner is required
• Gray scrubs or professional business casual attire required
• Provide outpatient occupational therapy with a focus on lymphedema treatment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Requested time off is ideally limited to 5 days, with more requiring facility approval
• No radius restriction for local candidates
• Former PERM or PRN employees must have a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler
• Free parking permit will be provided and completed during orientation
• Virtual orientation modules must be completed on the first day

Requirements

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license in hand required for consideration
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required
• NBCOT certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• Lymphedema experience required
• Ability to float to other areas of the hospital or affiliated sites as needed
• License required if applicable
