Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high acuity Med/Surg Surgery Trauma day shift position requiring Epic experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based high acuity Med/Surg Surgery Trauma unit
• Patient population includes spinal neuro trauma, surgical trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegic and paraplegic cases
• 12-hour day shifts with three shifts per week
• No block scheduling available; must be flexible with assigned shifts
• Epic EMR usage is required
• No time off (RTO) requests will be approved during the assignment
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must be able to provide up-to-date resume, skills checklist, references from recent supervisors or managers, certification cards, and Nursys license verification for consideration
• Patient care includes management of trauma and post-surgical complications
• Professional attire and badge-appropriate photo required

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum two years of recent experience in Med/Surg Surgery Trauma specialty
• Epic EMR experience required
