Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced Operating Room RN with MA license and specialized skills in transplant, neuro, spine, trauma, and robotics surgery.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PCS OR West unit within a hospital setting
• Unit consists of 10 operating rooms focused on inpatient Level I trauma surgery
• Patient population includes those undergoing bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplants
• 12-hour night shifts with occasional day shifts during orientation week
• No call requirements for night shifts
• May be scheduled to work any holidays occurring during the contract
• Responsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating for a wide variety of complex surgical procedures
• Team supports high-acuity cases in a Level I trauma center environment
• Weekly orientation sessions held every Monday except holidays
• All time-off requests must be submitted and approved in advance
• Holiday work expectation applies to any holidays within the contracted period
• Testing on Tele/ECG and Medication may be required for certain campuses
• Parking costs can be significant for day shifts; discounted rates may apply for night shifts
• Medical exemptions allow for unvaccinated status when documented

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Current flu vaccination (required prior to acceptance) and COVID vaccine with booster or approved exemption
• Experience in kidney transplant, neuro, spine, ortho trauma, and robotics required
• Must have experience with transplant, trauma, neuro, and robotic operating room cases
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate in general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, trauma, and organ procurement cases
• Cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Not eligible if employed within the past 6 months at the health system
