Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med Surg/Emergency Department position requiring a current CO or compact license and at least four years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Critical Access Hospital with duties in both Med Surg and Emergency Department settings
• Patient caseload includes adult and pediatric Med Surg, ortho, spine/ortho post-op, and emergency cases
• Patient ratio is 1 to 5
• Night shift schedule
• Must be available to work holidays
• No local travelers will be considered; candidates must live at least 65 miles from the facility
• Duties include direct care for Med Surg and ED patients, including adult, orthopedic, and pediatric populations
• Housing may be available in a shared 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with rent paid by the employer; no pets or smoking allowed

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Colorado or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 4 years nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Experience with spine/ortho post-op and Med Surg patients required
• COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate
