Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Medical Unit position requiring an active MA RN license and AHA BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Medical Unit
- Care for adult patients with a variety of medical needs
- Day/night rotating shifts
- Uses Epic for charting
- Responsibilities include interpreting care plans, assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team
- Accurate documentation and reporting of symptoms, changes, and treatments is required
- Must possess strong knowledge of medical terminology and confidentiality practices
- Public transportation and paid parking options available; no validated parking provided
- Timekeeping is tracked through UKG/Kronos
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles will be considered at a reduced rate
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; pending or conditional licenses are not accepted
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- No minimum years of RN experience required
- Must provide license verification through both NURSYS and Board of Nursing
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions allowed
