Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Med/Surg night shift position requiring a VA or compact license and at least one year of recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Orthopedic Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Patient population includes orthopedic and related Med/Surg cases
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Responsibilities include care for post-surgical orthopedic and Med/Surg patients
• Scrub color or dress code requirements will be provided during orientation
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in orthopedic or Med/Surg nursing
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
• Must have U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
• At least one professional reference required, except for Florida and Missouri which require two
• No employment gaps exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months
