Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Med/Surg night shift position requiring a VA or compact license and at least one year of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an Orthopedic Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Patient population includes orthopedic and related Med/Surg cases
- No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Responsibilities include care for post-surgical orthopedic and Med/Surg patients
- Scrub color or dress code requirements will be provided during orientation
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in orthopedic or Med/Surg nursing
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Must have U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
- At least one professional reference required, except for Florida and Missouri which require two
- No employment gaps exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months
