Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position with a focus on cardiovascular critical care and Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those requiring advanced cardiovascular and thoracic critical care
• Day shifts are 7:00am to 7:00pm, three days per week
• Work setting is a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular and thoracic patients
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and optimize patient care
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as part of patient care plans
• Participate in ongoing education and unit-based quality improvement activities
• Support and educate patients and their families to promote optimal recovery

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum of one year nursing experience required
• Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required
• Recent cardiothoracic ICU and Level 1 trauma experience required
