Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with chemo certification for a night shift Oncology position requiring a VA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Oncology unit of an acute care hospital
- Patient population primarily includes oncology cases
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00PM to 7:00AM
- 13-week assignment
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
- RNs are expected to provide specialized oncology care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and related treatments
- Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent oncology nursing experience required
- Chemo certification (ONC) required for all RNs in Oncology
- Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- At least one professional reference required (two for Florida and Missouri residents)
- No gaps in employment history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
