Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Oncology position requiring a VA or compact RN license and chemotherapy certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Oncology unit of a hospital
• Patient population includes individuals undergoing cancer treatment
• Day shifts from 7:00AM to 7:00PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• No local candidates accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies
• Provide care to oncology patients throughout various stages of treatment
• Orientation and support provided by the unit team
• Must comply with all hospital and regulatory policies
• Current certifications must remain valid and not expire within the first 30 days of assignment

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent oncology RN experience
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required
• ONC (chemotherapy) certification required for RNs working in Oncology
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number (no Canadian SSN) and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional references required: two for Florida and Missouri, one for other states
