Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Oncology position requiring a VA or compact RN license and chemotherapy certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Oncology unit of a hospital
- Patient population includes individuals undergoing cancer treatment
- Day shifts from 7:00AM to 7:00PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
- No local candidates accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies
- Provide care to oncology patients throughout various stages of treatment
- Orientation and support provided by the unit team
- Must comply with all hospital and regulatory policies
- Current certifications must remain valid and not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent oncology RN experience
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required
- ONC (chemotherapy) certification required for RNs working in Oncology
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number (no Canadian SSN) and date of birth required for consideration
- Professional references required: two for Florida and Missouri, one for other states
