Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of recent level 1 trauma center and OR experience for an acute care assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care setting within a diagnostic radiology department at a level 1 trauma center
- Cares for inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical patients
- Performs a variety of imaging studies; frequent OR coverage required
- Experience with OEC, Carestream, and Epic EMR preferred
- Evening shifts from 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM with weekend and holiday rotation
- May be required to float between imaging areas and cover a variety of patient cases
- Duties include performing a wide variety of diagnostic imaging procedures for a diverse population including trauma, surgical, and emergency patients
- Must be comfortable working independently and in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
- Orientation consists of 10 hours specific to the department
- Scrubs provided only when working in the OR; otherwise, department-specific dress code applies
- Every third weekend coverage required, but this may vary for travelers
- Covid vaccination is not required
- Clinicians residing within 50 miles are considered local and subject to local pay rates
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Rad Tech in a busy level 1 trauma center
- OR imaging experience is required
- ARRT certification and AHA BLS required
- IEMA license required if applicable
- Active IL radiologic technologist license at time of consideration or confirmation that application has been initiated
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is preferred
- No new graduates will be considered
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
