Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night position requiring an active ME or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• 12-hour night shifts with variable scheduling
• Patient population includes individuals presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Responsible for providing patient-centered care in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Must uphold a high degree of confidentiality and support the values of the organization
• Local candidates may be considered; no radius rule is specified
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the work schedule

Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within six months of hire
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills required
• Ability to function independently and respond effectively in emergencies
