Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with BLS, ARRT, advanced mammography certification, and Ohio licensure to perform screening and diagnostic mammography in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Position located primarily at a breast center with some support at satellite outpatient locations
- Work includes both screening and diagnostic mammography at the breast center, and all screening mammography at satellite sites
- Procedures include digital and 3-D mammography using Hologic (Tomo) equipment
- Work schedule is day shift with rotating hours between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday
- Holiday weeks may require four 10-hour shifts
- Occasional Saturdays and variable shifts required when supporting mobile services
- Patient volume ranges from 10 to 15 per shift
- No biopsy procedures are required for this role
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing as mandated by the state
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Candidates who have previously worked at the facility must have at least a six-month break before being eligible for assignment
- All requests for time off must be submitted and approved as part of the contract
- Scrubs or professional attire required as per assignment policy
- License required if applicable
Requirements
- Active BLS certification required
- Current ARRT certification and ARRT Advanced Mammography certification required
- Ohio Department of Health license required
- Experience with screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3-D mammography procedures required
- Knowledge of Digital Hologic (Tomo) equipment preferred
- Outpatient mammography experience preferred
- Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor or manager
