Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with recent trauma experience, NH or compact RN license, and advanced certifications for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 10-bed ICU suite within a hospital critical care unit
• Patient population includes critically unstable medical/surgical patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome and unstable hemodynamics
• RN-to-patient ratios are typically 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity and isolation requirements
• Uses advanced cardiac monitoring systems and electric therapeutic beds
• 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays included in schedule
• 36 hours per week
• Provide 24-hour critical care nursing to patients with unstable vital functions requiring specialized treatment
• Emphasize rapid recognition and treatment of life-threatening complications for optimum patient care
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the rotating schedule

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or Compact RN license with proof of state residency
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent equivalent ICU experience required
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Telemetry experience required
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
