Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a MICU night shift position at a Level 1 trauma, stroke, and transplant center, requiring an active IN or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) of a hospital setting
- Serve a critically ill adult patient population, including trauma, stroke, burn, and transplant cases
- Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1
- Position requires working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Holiday coverage per unit needs
- Sunrise charting system is used; experience with this EMR preferred
- Facility is Level 1 trauma, designated stroke, burn, and ELSO certified transplant center
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a high-acuity environment
- Team supports trauma, stroke, burn, transplant, and ELSO-certified critical care
- RTO (requested time off) must be included upon application
- Travelers may be assigned holidays according to unit needs
- Radius rule applies for local candidates with a reduced pay rate
- Not required to be COVID vaccinated
- Auto-offer process is used for placement
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years critical care experience required
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Nursys verification, primary source license verification, and compliance with FACIS if applicable
- US Social Security Number and US home address required
- Copy of driver’s license and two professional references required
